NATALIE IMBRUGLIA

Born in Sydney, Australia, Natalie Imbruglia grew up in the small beach town of Berkeley Vale. As a child, she studied dance six days a week, then began working as an extra in TV commercials. By the time she was 16, she landed a regular role in the long-running Australian TV series Neighbours. She stayed with the show for nearly three years, then left to pursue a music career in London. A songwriter/singer, she was signed by BMG and released her debut album, Left of Middle, in 1997. It went on to sell over six million copies and she was asked to appear on shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Britain's Top of the Pops. She released a second album, White Lilies Island, several years later and also signed with L’Oreal cosmetics in 2002 as their new face.
Imbruglia made her feature film debut as Special Agent Lorna Campbell in the comedy Johnny English (2003), starring Rowan Atkinson. She is a vegetarian and became engaged to Australian singer/songwriter Daniel Johns, a vegan, in 2003.
