MOLLY STANTON
Date of Birth: March 13, 1980
Molly Stanton was born in Los Angeles, California. Life began to gain momentum when Stanton entered junior high, where she acted in school musicals and plays. With each new performance she was in, Stanton fell deeper and deeper in love with theater to the point that she was offered a position to tour with the Brentwood Theater Company.
During her time on tour, Stanton invested a lot of her time to writing, directing and also performing in her adaptation of The Accident, a true story about nine high school boys on a camping trip whose world is thrown upside down when four of the group are killed by a drunk driver, and how the rest of them deal with it. The play gained enough recognition that Stanton was invited to showcase it at the Edinburgh Theater Festival in Scotland.
After high school, even with the success of her play, Stanton found it difficult to secure any positions within the acting world. Disheartened by lack of work and on the verge of giving up, Stanton was attending school at the University of California when she was presented with an audition to play Charity Standish on the popular soap opera Passions. Stanton got the role and began work on the show from its beginning in 1999 until 2004.
Now a recognizable face in Hollywood, Stanton was offered parts on a couple of television shows like Twins and Do Not Disturb, which only aired three episodes before seeing its abrupt finish as the first cancellation in the '08-'09 season. Stanton has also appeared on the prominent television series CSI: Miami, and has a part in the 2009 teen comedy Miss March (2009). Included with her passion of film is her love of music, and in her free time enjoys playing a plethora of instruments including piano, drums, and guitar.
