MILO VENTIMIGLIA

Date of Birth: July 8, 1977

Born and raised in Anaheim, Milo Ventimiglia took a summer course at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and studied at the University of Southern California and UCLA. His first professional acting role was a one-line guest appearance on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Guest shots on shows such as Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Brooklyn South and Kelly Kelly followed.

Milo made his major motion picture debut as a soccer player in She's All That (1999), starring Freddie Prinze Jr., and had a recurring role on Fox TV's Opposite Sex in 2000, but it was a regular role as Jess Mariano on the WB's Gilmore Girls that brought Milo fame. He stayed with the show for several years before joining the cast of NBC's American Dreams in 2004, playing a 1960s war radical.

From there he played Richard Thorne III in WB's short-lived The Bedford Diaries and Peter Petrelli, a male nurse who can fly, on NBC's acclaimed series Heroes, which debuted September 25, 2006.

After landing lead roles in movies such as Cursed (2005) and Stay Alive (2006), Milo landed the plum role of Rocky Jr. in the major motion picture Rocky Balboa (2006), starring and directed by Sylvester Stallone.

He then spent the next few years starring as Peter Petrelli in the hit series Heroes, but returns to the big screen when on hiatus from the series. Some of his recent film credits include The Divide (2011) and the comedy That's My Boy (2012).

In 2016, Milo reprised his Gilmore Girls role in the four-part Netflix mini-series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and the same year was cast in a starring role as Jack Pearson in the drama series This Is Us opposite Mandy Moore, which went on to be a huge hit with audiences and critics alike. It has earned several Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, including three Emmy nominations for Milo in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

On the big screen, he can be seen playing the starring role of Denny Swift in the drama The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019), alongside Amanda Seyfried.

Milo lives in Los Angeles and enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding and restoring vintage muscle cars.
