MICHAEL STAHL-DAVID

Michael Stahl-David is a young actor who is going places. His background is in theater, and he has studied at the prestigious Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. There he starred in a variety of theater productions, such One Arm at the Steppenwolf and The Goat or Who Is Sylvia? at the Goodman Theater. He graduated from the Theater Department of Columbia College in Chicago in 2005 with a bachelor degree in Theater Arts.
Stahl-David made his feature film debut in Buena Vista's New Port South (2001), followed by the comedy Uncle Nino (2003) starring Joe Mantegna and Anne Archer. In 2006, Michael starred in the Paper Mill Playhouse's production of The Diary of Anne Frank as Peter Van Daan. Also in 2006, he landed a role in the TV series The Black Donnellys. It was his first television role, in which he played Sean Donnelly, the youngest of four Irish brothers profiled in the show. He was absolutely thrilled when he discovered he was cast as Rob Hawkins, one of the leads in the J.J. Abrams-(Lost) produced thriller, Cloverfield (2008), calling it an opportunity of a lifetime.
