Born in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, Micah Abbey has been honing his craft since he was young. Growing up a regular kid, Micah and his family moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 10 years old to pursue his acting career.
His first opportunity came in 2017, appearing in two episodes of the popular show Grey's Anatomy. Abbey played Frankie Baner, a seven-year-old boy who had a stroke and a disorder that made his blood clot faster than normal. His character was a matchmaker, who tried to set his mother up with a doctor.
In 2018 he landed a starring role in the Nickelodeon show Cousins for Life, as Leaf. The show followed two best friends and cousins living with their family, and exploring life in a new city. The show ran for one season but was cancelled in June 2019.
His biggest break was his starring role as Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023). The film follows the iconic turtle brothers on their journey to defeat an army of mutants who believe the brothers belong underground. They fight to save New York and to be accepted as normal teenagers in society, wanting to experience conventional life.
Micah is an avid lover of all things water. He plays water polo and enjoys swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and sailing. On his Instagram @micahabbey, his love for water is clear, along with his passion for dogs.
Abbey has no upcoming projects but is a vocal member of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
