MATT BOMER

Born and raised in Texas, Matt Bomer began acting at Houston's prestigious Alley Theater. Although he'd considered a career in journalism, following high school he studied drama at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earning a BFA Degree.
Matt moved to New York City, where he took roles in theater productions such as Michael Mayer's Spring Awakening and Michael Grief's Grey Gardens. He also starred as Ernest Hemingway in Villa America at the Williamstown Theater Festival. It wasn't long before he was offered his first screen role – playing Ian Kipling on All My Children. It was just a small role, but he was soon cast in a larger role on another soap opera, taking over as Ben Reade on The Guiding Light from 2001 to 2003.
Shortly after, he was cast in a regular role as Eliza Dushku's boyfriend in the Fox TV series Tru Calling. In 2005 he made his big screen debut in Flightplan, starring Jodie Foster, followed by a starring role in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, opposite Jordana Brewster.
In 2007 Matt played the lead role on the ABC series Traveler, which lasted one season, as well as the role of Bryce Larkin on the NBC series Chuck, staying with the series for three seasons. He went on to play Neal Caffrey on USA's White Collar, one of the highest-rated and most critically-acclaimed shows on cable television. For this performance, Matt won the Breakthrough Male Television Performer of 2010 from Movieline's Breakthrough Awards. Other TV roles include a guest star appearance on the hit Fox series Glee, playing Darren Criss' onscreen sibling, Cooper Anderson.
He returned to the big screen in 2011, playing a supporting role to Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in In Time. The following year, he played another supporting role, this time as Ken in the male stripper movie Magic Mike opposite Channing Tatum. Future projects include Normal Heart, co-starring alongside Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and Alec Baldwin.
A writer in addition to being an actor, Matt has teamed up with Neal Dodson, country music star Brad Paisley and executive producer Mark Schwahn to create the new CW drama series Nashville, about a young female singer on the road to stardom and a struggling male songwriter. Most recently, he reprised his role in Magic Mike XXL (2015), and appeared in the ensemble Western The Magnificent Seven (2016).
Early in 2012, Matt publicly acknowledged that he's in a romantic relationship with Hollywood publicist Simon Halls. They have three sons, born via surrogate.
