MARLEY SHELTON

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Marley Shelton was introduced to the entertainment industry by her father, a commercial director.
She received her first taste of the celebrity lifestyle during a high school prom. Her date was her boyfriend at the time—Buffy actor Nicholas Brendon. He bought her 100 roses, wore a tux and drove a black convertible Mustang.
While studying English at UCLA, Marley supported herself through small parts in film and television. Her hobby grew into a passion while studying acting.
She made her feature debut in Grand Canyon (1991) which was soon followed by roles in television. Following work on the series Angel Falls, she landed work in telefilms such as Hercules in the Underground, A Friend to Die For and When Friendship Kills.
During the latter half of the '90s, Marley decided to focus on feature films and was cast in major roles in movies like Nixon (1995), Warriors of Virtue (1997), Pleasantville (1998), Never Been Kissed (1999), The Bachelor (1999) and Valentine (both 2001). She has been working steadily ever since, in comedies like Bubble Boy (2001), Uptown Girls (2003) and dramas such as Sin City (2005), Grindhouse (2007) and the horror/thriller A Perfect Getaway (2009).
On TV, Marley played Rachel Young on the drama series Eleventh Hour from 2008 to 2009, Dr. Alison Lennon on the sci-fi series The Lottery in 2014 and Gail Mazzuchelli on the 2018 NBC drama series Rise. On the big screen, she stars alongside Dwayne Johnson in the sci-fi action/adventure Rampage (2018).
She also not only starred in but produced the short film, Protect-O-Man (1999), a black comedy directed by her father.
Marley married producer Beau Flynn in 2001. They have two children together.
