MARCO LEONARDI
Date of Birth: November 14, 1971
Born in Australia to Italian parents, Marco Leonardi moved to Rome at the age of four with his family. He began appearing in commercials at a very young age and made his film debut at the age of 14, appearing in 1986's La sposa era bellissima before gaining wider recognition in Cinema Paradiso (1989). Besides starring in over 20 Italian films, he played the lead role of Pedro in the critically-acclaimed Like Water for Chocolate (1992) before making his U.S. feature film debut in Desperate Measures (1995). On American television, he has starred in the 1997 TNT network movie David. Since then, Leonardi has landed roles in big budget Hollywood films such as Texas Rangers (2001) alongside Ashton Kutcher and Rachael Leigh Cook and played the key role of Fideo in Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), starring Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas.
Leonardi currently divides his time between Los Angeles and Rome. He has a pit-bull terrier named Benny and in his spare time, enjoys soccer, motorcycles and horseback riding.
