LENNY KRAVITZ

Lenny Kravitz was born in Brooklyn, New York City to Sy Kravitz and Roxie Roker. When he turned ten years old, his family moved to L.A. because his mother landed a role in the TV show The Jeffersons.
At his mother's insistence, Lenny tried out for and was a part of the prestigious California Boys Choir. In 1978, he was accepted into the music program at Beverly Hills High School where he began his musical career. He met his future wife, Lisa Bonet, at a concert and it wasn't long before they were married.
In 1986, Lenny's wife was cast as Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show alongside Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. A year later, their daughter Zoe was born.
Since then, Lenny has had a successful musical career releasing more than 11 albums and having his music featured in films like Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
Kravitz himself has also made his silver screen debut in 2009, in the Academy Award-nominated film Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.
In 2012, Kravitz once again had a supporting role in another film adapted from a book. This time he took on the role of Cinna in The Hunger Games, based on the book series by Suzanne Collins. His most recent film is Lee Daniels' The Butler (2013) where he starred alongside Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey.
Kravitz's daughter Zoe is also an actress. In 2011, Zoe had a memorable role as the winged-mutant Angel in X-Men: First Class.
