Although she began working on stage in productions of Peter Pan and Oliver, she landed her first film role in 2000 when she played a lovestruck woman in the romantic comedy Down to You, with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Julia Stiles. After making several television appearances, she got her next big part in the tear-jerker drama A Walk to Remember (2002) where she played the role of a jealous ex-girlfriend. The following year she got to try her hand at something a little different when she was offered the part of a hitchiker, also the first bloody death, in the gutsy horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).
Over the next few years, she continued to appear in bigger roles for films like Standing Still (2005), You are Here (2007), and Hostel: Part II (2007). She currently plays the part of Agent Lori Weston in the CBS television series Hawaii Five-O and also stars in the film The Divide (2012) about a group of people who are confined to the basement of their apartment building after surviving a vicous nuclear attack.
