KEVIN DONOVAN
A native of Montana, Kevin Donovan attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena before moving to New York, where he became an art director at Cliff Freeman and Partners. He later turned his focus to directing commercials, and won numerous awards, including a Silver Lion for his "Funeral" spot for the University of California and a Bronze Lion for "The Rant" for Molson Canadian at the 2000 Cannes Commercial Film Festival. "The Rant," statistically the most popular television commercial in Canadian history, became the inspiration for an officially licensed clothing line featuring the famous "I Am Canadian" line from the commercial, and was also named Best in Show at the 2001 Marketing Awards and Bessies.
Earlier, in 1998, Donovan won a Gold Award at the 1998 London International Film Festival for his Salon Selectives' "Customized Boyfriend" spot. The following year he captured Gold twice more for his spots for Salon Selectives' "Customized Family" and Wyndham Hotel's "Cirque du Soleil."
Donovan made his feature film directorial debut with The Tuxedo (2002), starring Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
