KEVIN BRAY
American-born Kevin Bray attended the University of Michigan and the Sorbonne in Paris before completing his studies at New York University Film School. After graduating, he founded his own production company, Hex Films in New York, before moving to Los Angeles to work with David Naylor and Associates and Satellite Films.
Bray got his start in film as a director of music videos and commercials. His highly successful campaign with Nike led to a lucrative career in the music video business. After making a groundbreaking debut with De La Soul's "Potholes in My Lawn," Bray became a director in demand and started to work with top artists like Whitney Houston, Savage Garden, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Folds Five, 'N Sync and Christina Aguilera. His work earned him a number of awards from MTV, MVPA, Billboard and Ritmo Latino.
After directing well over 100 videos, Bray turned to the silver screen and directed his first feature, All About the Benjamins (2002). In 2003 he directed a couple of episodes of the TV series Platinum, about the music industry, then returned to the big screen for the action picture Walking Tall (2004), starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
