KEIR GILCHRIST
Date of Birth: September 28, 1992
Born in London, England, Keir Gilchrist moved with his family to Boston and then New York City before settling in Toronto. He started taking drama classes at a very young age; it was at the encouragement of a Toronto drama teacher, who arranged a meeting with her agent, that he first began acting professionally.
Keir has worked in TV, feature films and in theater, including the starring role of Jamie at age 12 in a play entitled Number One and Jamie at Toronto's Theatre for Young People.
On television, Keir has made guest appearances on Toronto-filmed series such as Doc, starring Billy Ray Cyrus; Queer as Folk; 1-800-Missing; ReGenesis; Life with Derek and a memorable guest-starring arc on The Listener.
In Los Angeles, he played a recurring role as Josh McKellar on the TV series The Winner, starring opposite Rob Corddry before being cast in the critically acclaimed and award-winning television series United States of Tara in 2009, opposite Toni Collette and John Corbett. The show will begin airing its third season in 2011.
Feature film work includes starring in It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010) alongside Emma Roberts and Zach Galifianakis. Additional films include Saint Ralph (2004), Dead Silence (2007), The Rocker (2008), Just Peck (2009) and It Follows (2015). He currently stars in the Netflix original series Atypical as an autistic teen searching for romance.
Keir divides his time between Toronto and Los Angeles.
