KATHRYN MCCORMICK

Kathryn McCormick began her lessons at the age of three at her mother's dance studio, Dance Connection in Georgia. She then went on to train at Augusta West Dance Studio and Augusta Ballet School. She competed in national dance competitions and realized that she wanted to become a professional dancer.
In 2008, McCormick moved to Los Angeles after securing her first professional movie role as a supporting dancer in the Fame (2009) remake.
Towards the end of 2009, Kathryn made her television debut as a contestant on the sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance. Her talent won the hearts of America and earned her the honor of being the top female dancer, finishing in third place. She returned as an "AllStar" on Season seven in 2010.
Despite public speaking being one of her biggest fears, Kathryn was convinced to become a motivational speaker in 2011 with The Revolve Tour, a conference devoted to encouraging teenage girls to pursue their dreams.
Later that year, Despite having no acting experience, after several auditions Kathryn landed the starring role in the dance drama Step Up Revolution (2012). For Kathryn, whose favorite movie was the original Step Up dance movie starring Channing Tatum, it was a dream come true.
