JONATHAN SADOWSKI
Date of Birth: November 23, 1979
Jonathan Sadowski was born in Chicago, Illinois. His first acting role was in a 2003 episode of NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, before making several guest spots the following year in The Division, LAX and a recurring role as Jefferson on the 1960s-set period drama American Dreams.
In 2006, Sadowski landed his first feature film role as Paul Antonio, Viola Hasting's (Amanda Bynes) stylist and best friend in the Shakespeare-inspired comedy She's The Man. Sick of being underestimated in sports because she's a girl, Viola disguises herself as a boy with help from Paul in order to infiltrate an all-boys school that has an exceptional athletic program. The film received generally favorable reviews.
Sadowski continued filming guest spots in 2007, appearing in Entourage, House and Chuck before scoring the role of Trey in the Bruce Willis-starring action flick Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth film in the Die Hard franchise.
In 2009 Sadowski had a busy year, appearing in three major movies including the college comedy Spring Breakdown starring Amber Tamblyn and Amy Poehler; Friday the 13th and the Jeremy Piven-led comedy The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard.
Sadowski earned his biggest role yet in 2010 as the lead in the CBS sitcom S#*! My Dad Says, co-starring William Shatner as his dad. Based on the popular Twitter feed of the same name, Sadowski played Henry, an out-of-work magazine writer-turned blogger who's forced to move in with his eccentric father when he loses his job.
Sadowski described the casting process as unusual because he turned down the part in favor of another pilot that wasn't picked up, then ended up re-auditioning. Producers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan (Will & Grace) were so impressed by him that they offered him the role on his fourth day of auditions; highly irregular for a lead in a television series. The show was cancelled after one season but Sadowski described it as an incredible learning experience and said he became quite close with his TV dad, Shatner.
Sadowski also stars in the 2012 horror film Chernobyl Diaries about a group of tourists who are stranded in the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
