JESSE METCALFE

Date of Birth: December 9, 1978

Born in Waterford, Connecticut, Jesse Metcalfe was studying film at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with the idea ofbecoming a director when he attended an open call for actors for the new soap opera, Passions. When he landed a regular role as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald, he realized it was too good an opportunity to turn down, and left school in his junior year.

He was contracted to spend five years on the show, but at the end of that time, he felt he had enough experience under his belt to move on to bigger and better things and decided not to renew. After a guest appearance on the WB series Smallville, Jesse won a recurring role as John Rowland on the hit series Desperate Housewives.

Not only did his work on the show put him on the map, but he shared a Screen Actors Guild Award with the rest of the cast for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy series, and picked up a Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Breakout Performance - Male.

Jesse made his film debut in the 20th Century Fox comedy, John Tucker Must Die (2006), playing the title role of a teenage stud who dates several girls at a time. More recently, he plays a starring role in the sequel God's Not Dead 2 (2016)

In his spare time, Jesse enjoys playing basketball.
