Jennifer Aniston's (Jennifer Aniston Photo Gallery) wholesome-yet-knowing sexiness has made her the most popular Friends cast member, and the one making the biggest impact on the big screen since the show folded.

One of the "Ten Most Lusted After Women" according to a poll in Men's Fitness magazine, Jennifer says, "It's always weird to see yourself on screen or in a magazine. It's almost as if the image I see is another person and not the real me I know."

Born in Sherman Oaks, California, Jennifer's father is John Aniston, who was a regular on the TV soap Days Of Our Lives. She graduated from New York's High School of Performing Arts (the "Fame" school) and did the off-Broadway scene for two years. Heading to Hollywood, Aniston's agent told her to drop 30 pounds if she wanted to get work. She did, and was seen (by very, very few people) on television shows such as Ferris Bueller, Molloy, and Muddling Through. Eventually she won the role of Rachel on Friends, and was single-handedly responsible for the most popular hair look of the mid '90s. She also won a Golden Globe for her work on the show.

During hiatus on Friends each season, she proved she had the right stuff for the movies with a string of successful romantic comedies, including: Picture Perfect (1997), The Object Of My Affection (1998), Bruce Almighty (2003) and Along Came Polly (2004).

By the time Friends came to an end, Jennifer was an A-list movie star, with starring roles in movies such as The Break-Up (2006), Marley & Me (2008) and The Bounty Hunter (2010). She also starred alongside Adam Sandler in the insanely funny feature film Just Go With It (2011), one of Sandler's best comedy films.

In 2012, Jennifer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work in Motion Pictures.

She received her third Golden Globe nomination for the drama film Cake (2015), then appeared in the romantic comedy Mother's Day (2016). In 2016, she lent her voice to the animated feature Storks alongside Andy Samberg and Kelsey Grammer, and starred alongside Jason Bateman in the holiday comedy Office Christmas Party (2016).

In 2019, Jennifer again co-starred with Adam Sandler in the Netflix comedy film Murder Mystery, which received poor reviews from critics, but it was popular enough with the public to merit a sequel, Murder Mystery 2 (2023).

Jennifer was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Emmy award in 2020 for her work on the first season of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show (2019 - present) and took home the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. In 2022 she was again nominated for a Golden Globe for the series and received two more SAG nominations.

On the personal side, Jennifer filed for and obtained a divorce in 2005 from her husband of five years, Brad Pitt, after it was discovered he was having a relationship with Angelina Jolie. She then dated her The Break Up (2006) co-star Vince Vaughn for several months. She married actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux in 2015, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2018.
