Jayden Zhang was born in Vancouver, Canada and grew up in nearby Burnaby. He is fluent in English and Mandarin and attends elementary school in a gifted program.
Jayden began acting in 2019 while he was enrolled at the Vancouver Young Actors School. He was discovered at a showcase where his now-manager noticed him, and not long after Jayden booked his first job in a voice-over project for TOYOTA.
In 2019, the young actor's career took off when he was cast as a Young Shang-Chi in the Marvel tentpole film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), a childhood version of Simu Liu's character. Jayden will also star in the upcoming feature film Sight as Young Ming.
When Jayden is not acting or studying for school, he enjoys participating in martial arts, hockey, swimming, skiing, and playing musical instruments.
