JAMIE TRAVIS

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Jamie Travis is now a Toronto-based filmmaker who has directed TV commercials, as well as music videos for Canadian indie-band, Tegan and Sara.
Known mainly for his short films—such as his Patterns trilogy and The Armoire, which earned a Best Canadian Short Film - Special Mention at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival—Travis is an up and coming director with a very successful track record. Having been featured at the Sundance Film Festival and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, his work has been commended worldwide. He has earned retrospectives from Nashville to Prague after receiving his first from London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, where Time Out London referred to him as "one of the world's most talented and intriguing experimental filmmakers." Zeitgeist Films released a DVD compilation of Travis' short films in 2010, all of which have been featured at the Toronto International Film Festival. His most famous short, The Saddest Boy in the World has taken home eight awards including Best Short at the St. Louis International Film Festival, plus many more nominations.
This great reputation has been formed even before the release of his first feature film, For a Good Time, Call... (2012) starring Seth Rogen and Justin Long.
