Jake Allyn was born in Dallas, Texas, where he grew up with his older brother Conor Allyn. While Conor was more interested in directing, Jake took an interest in acting.
He made his feature film debut in Zoe Gone (2014). Later, he acted on the show The Quad (2017), where he gained recognition for his portrayal of BoJohn Folsom. Jake continued acting but also teamed up with his brother to write two thriller films, Ex-Patriot (2017) and Forsaken (2017).
Jake teamed up with Conor again to star as Jackson in the film No Man's Land (2020), that he wrote and Conor directed.
After playing Ryan Taylor on the Prime Video series The Baxters (2024), which is based on the bestselling novels by Karen Kingsbury, he was asked to star as Dawson Gage in the romantic drama feature Someone Like You (2024), which is also based on a novel by Karen Kingsbury, and was directed by her son, Taylor Russell.
In 2024, Jake won the Western Heritage Award for Best Theatrical Motion Picture for Ride (2024), which he starred in, wrote and directed. ~Mackenzie Heidrick
