HANNIBAL BURESS
Date of Birth: February 4, 1983
Hannibal Buress was born in Chicago, Illinois. He began performing comedy in 2002 while studying at Southern Illinois University.
In 2008, he moved to New York. The following year, he joined Saturday Night Live as a writer. In 2010, he was consultant editor for the MTV Movie Awards Gala.
After appearing TV comedies such as 30 Rock, he made his film debut with an uncredited role in Sleepwalk with Me (2012).
In the years that followed, he appeared in several comedy feature films such as Neighbors (2014) and the sequel, Neighbors: Sorority Rising (2016) with Canadian Seth Rogen, Daddy's Home (2015) starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, and The Nice Guys (2016) featuring Canadian Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.
His most successful year to date was in 2017, when four films in which he appeared opened in theaters. He was able to add Baywatch and Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as The Disaster Artist, a film by James Franco, to his resumé.
He has also featured in numerous television projects, including Lincoln Rice on Comedy Central's Broad City sitcom from 2014-2017, as well as his own series, Hannibal Buress: Handsome Rambler (2017-2018).
Most recently, he lent his voice to the character Buddy in the animated sequel, The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019).
