GATTLIN GRIFFITH
Date of Birth: November 13, 1998
Gattlin Tadd Griffith was born to Tad and Wendy Griffith, and has three younger brothers. His father, a stuntman, encouraged Gattlin to follow him into the stunt acting business. Gattlin started auditioning at just seven years old. His first audition was for a TV commercial, and while he didn’t get the part that required stunt work, he caught the attention of a casting director who told him to audition for a Yamaha motorbike commercial.
The Yamaha commercial opened a door for Gattlin, who went on to star in a number of ads for Home Depot. Gattlin moved on to television acting, where he made his television series debut on Untold Stories of the ER in 2006. Gattlin made guest appearances on many subsequent hit TV shows, including Cold Case, How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, Without a Trace, Monk and Criminal Minds.
Gattlin’s exceptional acting skills earned him a role in his first-ever feature film, the Academy Award-nominated Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie. Even though his role as Jolie’s son in this Clint Eastwood picture was his first big screen acting gig, he didn’t seem fazed by his superstar co-star, calling Jolie “down to earth, humble and the greatest mother you’ll ever find.” More feature films followed, most notably Couples Retreat, Green Lantern and Labor Day. Gattlin’s acting experience developed significantly over the past few years, having worked with the likes of Vince Vaughn, Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood and Kate Winslet.
In addition to acting, Gattlin is an active athlete and equestrian gymnast. He also enjoys playing football and soccer and he takes after his professional trick rider grandparents, making him a fourth-generation trick rider.
