GARRETT HEDLUND

Born in Minnesota, Garrett Hedlund spent his early years growing up on a farm. When he was in the ninth grade, his family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he began taking private acting classes. Graduating from high school a month early, Hedlund immediately moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
One month later, he'd landed the role of Achilles' teenage cousin Patroclus in the major motion picture Troy (2004) opposite Brad Pitt. His next feature was Friday Night Lights (2004) starring Billy Bob Thornton, in which Garrett played a high school football player.
He landed a starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg in Four Brothers (2005), playing one of four brothers whose mother is murdered, and a supporting role opposite Lindsay Lohan in Georgia Rule (2007). He played the starring role of Sam Flynn in the sci-fi remake TRON: Legacy (2010), followed by a role in the adaptation of Jack Kerouac's famed novel On the Road (2012). More recently, he starred in Unbroken (2014), Pan (2015), and Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2016).
Garrett currently lives in Los Angeles. His hobbies include hunting, punk rock music, and being outdoors.
