Born in Joliet, Illinois, Denise Richards graduated from El Camino High School in Oceanside, California in 1989. After graduation she began her modeling career which took her around the world as she graced numerous magazine pages including Teen and Sports Magazine, in various stages of dress (and undress).
On television, Denise made a memorable appearance on Seinfeld. She first garnered critical notice as a series regular in Against the Grain opposite Ben Affleck and in the television film In the Blink of an Eye, playing Mimi Rogers' daughter and made her big screen debut in Loaded Weapon 1 (1993), playing Cindy #1.
Since then, Denise has worked her way up the ladder, eventually getting starring roles in films such as Starship Troopers (1997), The World is Not Enough (1999) and Valentine (2001). She met actor Charlie Sheen while they were co-starring in Good Advice (2001) and they were married on June 15, 2002. The two have worked together on the TV sitcom Spin City, and both played parts in Scary Movie 3 (2003).
In 2001, Denise was ranked 9th of the 100 Sexiest Women by FHM Taiwan. Although her acting career has dwindled in recent years, she hasn't left the spotlight just yet. She starred in Tyler Perry's 2012 comedy film Madea's Witness Protection.
On television, she played a regular role as Shauna Fulton on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2019 to 2020 and plays Bentley on the 2020 crime series Paper Empire.
At almost 50, she continued to let herself be won over by the magic of Christmas, bringing her touch to stories such as My Adventures with Santa (2019).
Denise gave birth to a daughter, Sam Sheen, on March 9, 2004. It was the first child for the couple. Unfortunately, the relationship fell apart and Denise filed for divorce just before the birth of their second child, daughter Lola Rose, born June 1, 2005. The split turned nasty when she later sought a restraining order, claiming she had received death threats from Sheen. They're now said to be on friendly terms with each other, often spending time together with their kids.
To keep in shape, Denise enjoys pilates and kick boxing. An avid animal lover, she has several cats and dogs. On September 18, 2019, she married Aaron Phypers. He has adopted her daughter Eloise, whom she adopted as a newborn in 2011.
