Daniel Dae Kim
Date of Birth: August 4, 1968
Korean-born actor Daniel Dae Kim is best known for his role as Jin Kwon on the hit TV series Lost.
After Lost concluded in 2010, he was immediately cast as Chin Ho Kelly on the new CBS-TV series adaptation Hawaii Five-0, and stayed with the series for seven seasons.
While on the show, he began working on an American adaptation of a hit South Korean medical drama. He pitched it to CBS, but they turned it down, so he took it to ABC, where it was green lit. Titled The Good Doctor, and starring Freddie Highmore, the series quickly become the highest-rated TV drama.
Daniel appeared on the big screen as Major Ben Daimio in Hellboy (2019). He was also featured in the television series Flack (2020) as Gabriel. Most recently, Daniel voiced the role of Benja in Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon (2021), and played David in the film Stowaway (2021).
He also plays Fire Lord Ozai on the live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix) (2024).
Daniel splits his time between Los Angeles and New York, where he lives with his wife and two sons, Zander and Jackson.
