CLARK DUKE

Date of Birth: May 5, 1985

Born in Glenwood, Arkansas, to Angela and Ronnie Duke, Clark Duke quickly found out he had a gift for acting. He started off appearing in commercials for products such as Toyota and Kellogg’s at age five, and played a role in a 1991 pilot starring Debbie Reynolds called Esme’s Little Nap, that wasn’t picked up for a series.

At the age of seven, he landed his first regular role on a TV series Hearts Afire, playing the son of John Ritter’s character. The show also started Billy Bob Thornton. Clark received a Young Artist Award nomination for his work on the show.

Following his early success, Clark dropped out of the spotlight and after high school, studied filmmaking at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. While living in Los Angeles, he met Canadian actor Michael Cera, who was his next door neighbor in the apartment where he lived. They hit it off and in 2006 Michael and Clark wrote a pilot for a web series called Clark and Michael. It starred Clark as a fictional version of himself, and was used for his college thesis. The show was picked up by CBS for an internet series, allowing Michael and Clark to make several more episodes featuring guest stars such as Jonah Hill and Patton Oswalt.

Clark would again enjoy TV success with the frat house comedy series Greek (2007 to 2011), as well as lending his voice to the animated cult TV show Robot Chicken (2008 to 2013).

With a small cameo in the hit comedy Superbad, his big break would come in 2008 when he had a major part in Sex Drive. He would follow that up with roles in 2010’s Kick-Ass and Hot Tub Time Machine, alongside John Cusack. He went on to reprise his role in the sequel, Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

In 2012 he played a supporting role alongside with Eddie Murphy in A Thousand Words (2012), and had a big year in 2013, when he starred in the film A.C.O.D., lent his voice to the animated flick The Croods and appeared in the Kick Ass sequel Kick-Ass 2.

Clark returned to television to play a starring role on the final season of The Office from 2012 to 2013, and the following year took on a recurring role as Barry on the hit series Two and a Half Men.
