CATERINA MURINO
Date of Birth: September 15, 1974
Born in Sardinia, Italy, Caterina Murino placed fourth in the 1996 Miss Italy pageant. She then moved to Milan to begin working as a model and studied acting at the acclaimed School of Cinema and Theatre. She made her stage debut in a production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, as well as appearing in several other Italian-language plays.
Murino’s film debut came in the Spanish-language Nowhere (2002), starring Harvey Keitel. On European TV, she’s appeared in episodes of Don Matteo, Vientos de agua and played a regular role in Orgoglio. She also starred in French movies such as L’Enquête Corse (2005), L’Amour aux Trousses (2005) and Les Bronzés 3: amis pour la vie (2006).
In 2006 Murino made her English-language debut in MGM's big budget motion picture Casino Royale.
Her hobbies include horseback riding, dancing and singing.
