BRITTANY SNOW

Date of Birth: March 9,1986

Born in Tampa, Florida, Brittany Snow's acting career has come a long way since dressing up as a box of French fries for a McDonald's commercial. Brittany began modeling at age three in print advertisements for Burdines and soon started appearing in commercials for Nabisco Thin Crisps, Disney, K-Mart, Busch Gardens as well as McDonald's. At age nine, the blue-eyed, blonde-haired actress landed a role in two episodes of the television series SeaQuest DSV. Soon after, she took a role in the 1998 television miniseries From the Earth to the Moon.

Brittany's big break came when she was cast as troubled teen Susan Lemay on CBS' daytime drama The Guiding Light. The role garnered her a great deal of attention and produced a nomination at the 2001 Soap Opera Digest Awards for "Outstanding Child Actor."

Brittany moved to Los Angeles in 2001 after landing the role of Meg Pryor on NBC's American Dreams. She completed three seasons of the family drama, and also had a recurring role on FX's Nip/Tuck.

Brittany made her big screen debut opposite Vin Diesel in 2005's The Pacifier. The then 19-year-old actress played one of five children under the protection of an ex-Navy SEAL bodyguard in the Disney family comedy.

In 2006, Brittany starred in the teenage revenge comedy, John Tucker Must Die. The movie featured a bevy of young stars including Jesse Metcalfe, Ashanti, Arielle Kebbel and Penn Badgley.

Brittany showcased her versatility in the 2007 hit Hairspray as bratty teen-queen Amber Von Tussle. The adaptation of the hit Broadway musical (which was itself adapted from John Water's 1998 film) gave her the opportunity to show off her singing voice with the song "The New Girl in Town." Brittany had previously been involved in a national theater tour of hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

In 2005, Brittany became the victim of Ashton Kutcher's infamous celebrity prank show Punk'd. The actress was in tears when she was tricked into believing she had knocked over an outhouse after hitting it with her car. But Brittany quickly rebounded from Kutcher's prank and helped set up John Tucker Must Die co-star and friend Sophia Bush on a later episode.

Brittany played a starring role on the big screen alongside Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect (2012), and reprised her role in the sequels, Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).

In 2015, Brittany landed a recurring role on the DirecTV series Full Circle, as Katie Parerra. Other credits include a recurring role on the Fox sitcom Ben and Kate and a starring role opposite William H. Macy in the indie film, Dial a Prayer (2015).

Recent films include the action thriller Bushwick (2017) and the Netflix movie Someone Great (2019), in which she co-stars with Gina Rodriguez.

On February 19, 2019, Brittany announced her engagement to realtor Tyler Stanaland.

Throughout her life Brittany has suffered from anorexia, bulimia and body dysmorphia. But the battle has led her to become active with The Jed Foundation, which works towards promoting mental health among college students.
