Brady Corbet was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to a single mother. He began his acting career at age 11 in 2000 when he guest starred on the CBS comedy The King of Queens as Stu. He would follow that up with voice work in the English dub of anime NieA under 7 and I My Me! Strawberry Eggs.

In 2003 he made his feature film debut in Thirteen (2003) with Evan Rachel Wood and Holly Hunter. The next year he appeared in Thunderbirds (2004), playing the son of a billionaire ex-astronaut portrayed by Bill Paxton, and Mysterious Skin (2004) with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Brady appeared in smaller roles in film and television such as Martha Marcy May Marlene with Elizabeth Olsen and Melancholia (2011) with Kirsten Dunst. He made his final appearance as an actor when he did voice work in Yellowbird (2014). Brady says that acting provided a film school that he could take with him when he transitioned into the next stage of his career as a director.
