Anthony Gonzalez
Date of Birth: 2005
Anthony Gonzalez was born in Los Angeles to Guatemalan parents. The youngest of five children, he started performing at the age of four with his siblings.
They performed Mariachi in competitions at El Mercado and La Placita Olvera in Los Angeles, as well as attending competitions in Miami.
Anthony also landed an agent early on and began doing commercials. He also appeared in small roles on TV series such as The Bridge and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
At age nine, Anthony auditioned for the lead role of Miguel in the Pixar/Disney animated movie Coco (2017). After several callbacks, he was asked to voice the character for test animation runs. When he was 11, he found out he got the role when the producers and director gave him a piece of art that read, "You got the part."
Since completing Coco, Anthony has also starred in the live-action movie Icebox, written and directed by Daniel Sawka and co-starring Genesis Rodriguez. He plays Oscar, a young boy who has troubles with America's rigid immigration process.
Each year, Anthony volunteers to sing for Univision's Teletón USA, which brings together Latin Americans to improve the lives of sick children.
