Annalise Basso is an American actress and model best known for her roles in the films Bedtime Stories (2008), Oculus (2014), Captain Fantastic (2016), and Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016).

Born in St. Louis Missouri, Annalise is the youngest child of Marcia and Louis J. Basso. Her older siblings, Gabriel Basso (The Kings of Summer) and Alexandria Basso (Alice Upside Down), are also both actors.

Annalise has been acting since she was eight years old, making her feature film debut in horror flick Ghost Image (2007). She followed this up with a guest spot on the popular night-time soap opera Desperate Housewives in 2008, as well as a small role in the fantasy comedy Bedtime Stories (2008) starring Adam Sandler and Keri Russell.

The next year was a big one for the young performer, who earned herself mainstream success with her guest role as Eden Hamby on the HBO smash hit series True Blood. She kept up the momentum well into 2009 by appearing in the TV movie Love Takes Wing, the Fox crime drama Lie to Me, the supernatural horror feature Dark House, and the coming-of-age drama Alabama Moon (2009).

Annalise continued working mostly in television over the next few years, guest starring on shows such as Bones, Parks and Recreation and New Girl. In 2013, the talented actress earned her first lead role in the independent coming-of-age drama Standing Up. In the film, she plays Grace, a young girl who decides to go on the run with her friend Howie (played by Chandler Canterbury). She then picked up another starring role in the horror Oculus (2014), followed by a recurring role on the Sundance Channel drama series The Red Road.

The year 2016 saw Annalise score some of her highest-profile roles yet — Vespyr in the critically-acclaimed dramedy Captain Fantastic alongside Viggo Mortensen and Paulina in the horror Ouija: Origin of Evil opposite Elizabeth Reaser and Henry Thomas.

A huge movie fan, Annalise's favorites include Pride & Prejudice (2005), The Witch (2016), Lord of the Rings (2001), and Blue Velvet (1986). In an interview with Issue Magazine, the young actress said her dream collaborators would include directors Alejandro G. Iñárritu and David Lynch, and actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

More recently, she appeared in Nostalgia (2018), alongside veteran actors Ellen Burstyn and Bruce Dern and in the horror movie Slender Man (2018).
