The niece of famed British actor Richard Harris, Annabelle Wallis was born in Oxford and spent a good amount of time in Portugal as well. Although she knew she wanted to be an actor, she didn't tell anyone and waited until she was 18 to study with a private acting coach.
She appeared in independent films before making her Bollywood debut in the film Dil Jo Bhi Kahey (2005), playing a Swedish woman who falls in love with an Indian man. In 2009, she joined the cast of popular British TV show The Tudors, taking over the role of Jane Seymour from Icelandic actress Anita Briem. In 2011, Annabelle played a small role in X-Men: First Class (credited as "Co-Ed"), then played a supporting role in W.E. (2011), directed by Madonna, and was cast in a recurring role in the short-lived ABC-TV drama series Pan Am, shot in New York City.
Back in England, Annabelle was cast in a starring role in the BBC2 drama series Peaky Blinders, playing Grace Burgess alongside Cillan Murphy and Tom Hardy. In January 2014, she began filming a starring role in the Warner Bros. major motion picture Annabelle (2014). The horror flick is about a family who owns a possessed doll named Annabelle.
