Muazana "Ana" Golja was born in Mississauga, Canada to Albanian parents. She started taking dance classes at five, before discovering her love for acting. At nine, she landed her first role in the Canadian crime series 1-800-Missing (2005). Following her television debut, Ana appeared in more series, such as Flashpoint (2008), How to Be Indie (2009), and Connor Undercover (2010-2011). She then earned her first major role on another series, What's Up Warthogs! (2011-2012), appearing in 40 episodes.
Ana graduated from children's television to star as Zoe Rivas on the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2013-2015), the fourth series in the Degrassi franchise. She reprised her role in the follow-up series Degrassi: Next Class, which aired between 2016 and 2017.
During Degrassi, Ana also starred in the film Full Out (2015), as gymnast Ariana Berlin, whose career ends after a tragic accident. For her performance, Ana earned a Canadian Screen Award nomination. She also recorded and released an original song for the movie soundtrack.
In 2019, Ana decided to expand her horizons by taking on a producing and lead acting role in Canadian film The Cuban (2019) alongside actor Louis Gossett Jr. That same year, Ana also starred in The Fanatic (2019), a dark thriller about a man (John Travolta) obsessed with meeting his favorite actor.
She has also filmed the starring role in the TV movie I Do, or Die - A Killer Arrangement (2020).
Aside from acting, Ana is a classically trained singer. During the pandemic, when production on films and television was shut down, she wrote and composed songs for an EP titled Strive, which was released in 2021.
