Treat Me Like Fire
Ella meets Abel when he walks into her family’s restaurant, asking for a job as a waiter. He’s hired and all through the night, shamelessly flirts with her. However, at the end of the shift, he empties the till and makes off with the money. Determined to find him, Ella follows Abel to an illegal gambling club. He convinces her to gamble the money, rather than take it back. When she wins wads of cash, she finds herself hooked on the game — and on Abel. She soon begins missing shifts at the restaurant and lets Abel move in with her. For Ella, it’s the beginning of an exhilarating life with an unpredictable lover, but it also marks the beginning of a cycle of addictions, which will have dramatic consequences.
