Thermae Romae

Lucius (Hiroshi Abe) is an Ancient Roman architect who can't seem to keep up with his fast-paced job. One day, Lucius discovers a hidden tunnel which slips him through time and teleports him to a modern day public bath in Japan.

Upon arrival, he is dumbfounded by the various unique aspects of Japan's bathing culture and meets Mami (Aya Ueto), a young aspiring manga artist. When Lucius returns to Rome, he eagerly implements the fresh ideas he saw in the future. Soon, Lucius' reputation for being ingenious grows as he continues to slip back and forth through time.
