Grace Kelly is the princess courted by a commoner (Louis Jourdan) but promised to Prince Albert (Alec Guinness).

Based on the Ferenc Molnar comedy of manners set in Hungary in early 1900. The talk is witty and revealing of the characters whose lives are predetermined as they often were in times gone by.
