The Son's Room

Set in a small city in the North of Italy, Giovannia, a psychoanalyst, receives his patients in a room adjacent to his apartment where he and his family, wife, daughter and son live. One Sunday morning, Giovanni must skip his weekly jog with his son to go see a patient in distress. When he returns to the apartment, he discovers his son has died in a deep-sea diving accident. Unable to accept his death, Giovanni threatens to break the ties of his remaining family. As each one mourns in their own way, a letter arrives which shakes the family.
