Following a routine urine test while enlisting for military service, Joseph Silberg finds out he’s not the biological son of Israeli army commander Alon Silberg and his wife, France-born psychologist Orith. It turns out Joseph is the child of Leila and Said Al Bezaaz, a couple living in the West Bank. During an evacuation at the maternity hospital in Israel where he was born 18 years earlier, two babies were accidentally switched. Shocked to learn he’s actually Arabic, Joseph finally accepts his new identity, as does Yacine, a young Jew who was raised in the occupied territories but educated in Paris. Their parents, however, have a hard time coping with the reality of the situation.
