The Metropolitan Opera: Rigoletto

The Duke of Mantua has kidnapped Rigoletto's daughter, mistaking her for his mistress. He pleads for the safe return of his daughter, but when his plea is rejected he swears vengeance. Things take a turn for the worse as Rigoletto, a hunchbacked jester, recalls a curse that was placed on him for mocking a helpless father.
