Tell Me Why These Things Are So Beautiful
Brother Marie-Victorin (The Botanical Garden, The Laurentian Flora) befriends his student Marcelle Gauvreau. Both had close encounters with death and share the same love for God and nature. Later, she becomes his collaborator, and their friendship evolves.
In correspondence that lasts until the death of Marie-Victorin, they explore human desires. This great chaste love, along with their love for Quebec’s flora.
