A member of the Canadian swimming team, Nadia (Katerine Savard) announces that she’ll end her career after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. But this decision, made when she was only 23 years old, seems rash to everyone, especially Sébastien (Pierre-Yves Cardinal), her coach of many years. The young Quebecer remains firm in her decision to leave competition to go back to school, and lets everyone know.
Coming in fourth in the individual final, Nadia makes up for it by winning bronze in the team relay. This positive result accentuates the dismay caused by her announcement. Marie-Pierre (Ariane Mainville), her friend and training partner since adolescence, brings her some comfort. On the night before they have to return to Quebec, the two young women enjoy a beautiful evening in Tokyo.
