Following his divorce, Ezequiel, a music composer, can't find the inspiration he needs to compose a new score for a film. He calls Paula, the assistant director at the bank, and is put on hold. The background music that plays while he waits is a melody that would be perfect for a sequence of filming he's working on. But the music only plays for a few seconds, which doesn't give him enough time to write the notes down.
He rushes to the bank and goes to Paula's office, but Paula, a pregnant woman recently abandoned by her boyfriend, has just received word that her mother has arrived from Spain to meet her husband. On an impulse, she decides to pass Ezequiel off as her husband and the father of her child. In exchange for his cooperation, Paula agrees to find the melody that played while Ezequiel was on hold. The problem is that bank's telephone system contains hundreds of songs.
