In Marseilles, Marie-Jo, a paramedic, transports patients from their homes to the hospital. She also helps keep the books for her husband Daniel’s business. Their daughter, Julie, is preparing for her exams with her boyfriend Sylvain, whom she’s crazy about. Marie-Jo seems to live a happy life, with no drawbacks. Except that, for one year, she has been carrying on a secret affair with Marco, a pilot. By accident, Daniel discovers the truth, but he does not say anything, hoping that it is only a passing fancy. But one day, Marie-Jo decides to leave her family to go to live with Marco, causing her family to feel anger, pain and betrayal.
