Kikujiro

This is a comedy about a nine-year-old boy, Masao, who discovers the address and photo of the mother he has never met. But he has little money and no direction, so he will need help on his quest to find her.

A friend of his grandmother's volunteers her husband, Kikujiro to accompany the boy. Brash, loudmouth, always on the lookout for easy money and not overly fond of kids, Kikujiro doesn't seem the ideal companion for the sensitive Masao. But on their voyage, they will meet many colorful characters and end up at a destination neither of them could ever have imagined.
