Intimate Enemies

Algeria, 1959. Lieutenant Therrien is sent into the mountains to replace an officer killed in a firefight. Dougnac, a conflict-hardened sergeant, is unimpressed by this young man with irreproachable military ethics, who believes that "one cannot fight cruelty with cruelty." But Therrien's idealism is well quickly put to the test when confronted by the efforts of the insurrectionists of the National Liberation Front.
