Jonathan (Gil Blank), 12, gets picked on a lot. Not only by his classmates, but his teachers as well, despite the fact that he's a bright kid. His closest friend is his father, Daniel (Zvika Hadar), and they meet up every day at the bank where Daniel works. One day, Daniel dies of a heart attack at work, but the bank refuses to pay off the life insurance, saying they don't cover heart attacks.
Jonathan's mother, Dorit, puts him in a nursing home with his paternal grandfather Elijah (Sasson Gabai), a bitter old man who cut Dorit and Daniel off when she refused to have an abortion. At the nursing home, Jonathan meets his grandfather's group of grumpy old friends who were were members of an underground collective called "Lehi" who robbed banks during the British occupation.
Joining the bunch is Elijah's brother-in-law, Lord Michael Simpson (Patrick Stewart), a frustrated British actor who is trying to get his hands on his sister's inheritance. Jonathan comes up with a plan to help save his family, while getting even with his father’s former boss by robbing the bank where he worked.
