Jacques Laroche and his son Marc are perpetually at each other’s throats. And for good reason. The methods of the two police detectives are diametrically opposed. They must nevertheless team up to nail the head of the Montreal mafia, who has just had a prosecutor executed. Having gotten hold of a potential witness, Jacques is given a name that Marc already knew and had kept quiet about: Martin Germain, the ultra-discreet lieutenant of the head of the mafia.
In order to get close to him, Marc and his girlfriend Alice enroll in an intensive group therapy getaway for couples in crisis, where Germain and his spouse are also staying. Their time at the remote inn in the forest will not be easy. Neither for the couple nor for Marc's relationship with his father, who joins the group by posing as a therapist — a role for which he is poorly equipped.
