When Lucie’s doctor tells her that her breast cancer is in remission, she’s dragged to a bar by her younger sister, who wants to celebrate the end of Lucie’s chemo treatments and her return to normal life. There Lucie meets the seductive Clovis, who asks for her number. But she immediately shrinks away, finding herself unworthy, her pale face devoid of make-up. When her teenage daughter Hortense, whom Lucie is raising alone, advises her mother to get a wig, the 40-year-old decides to follow her advice.
At the wig store she meets Dalila, a cancer survivor who teaches women striptease in order to get them to accept their bodies. With more reluctance than enthusiasm, Lucie participates in the rehearsals, without telling anyone what she’s doing, especially not her demanding mother who constantly finds fault with her. Lucie finally agrees to see Clovis, but doesn’t have the courage to tell him about her condition, worried that it will send him running.
