Das Boot

Set in 1942 during WWII, a German U-boat carrying 42 crew members is sent off to battle enemy ships in the heart of the Atlantic. War correspondent Lt. Werner (Herbert Gronemeyer) is sent with them to document their journey, while bonding and sharing the experience of the war through the eyes of a marine.
