Real estate agent Thierry is secretly crushing on his colleague, the very devout Charlotte, who insists on lending him a tape of a weekly religious program. Meanwhile, Thierry finds an apartment for his client, Nicole, who is having difficulty with her fiancé, Dan, an unemployed ex-soldier. Dan spills his relationship woes to Lionel, a widowed hotel bartender who lives with his sick father.

Charlotte, who believes in charity, offers to become a caregiver for Lionel's ailing father, while Dan leaves Nicole and meets Thierry's sister, Gaëlle, who's desperately seeking love by placing an ad in the paper.
